Urinary Disorders
You will find below the main urinary disorders we treat . If you are suffering with an illness or condition outside of those listed then please feel free to contact us for more information.
Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) and Thrush
This can cause symptoms ranging from itching to swelling to a “burning” pain and is often associated with pain in the lower back (in the kidneys). You may well have had a flare up that has gone away but then returns periodically.
Typical causal pathogens: Candida, Urealytica Ureaplasma, Gardnerella Vaginalis, Trichomonas Vaginalis
Irritable Bladder/Overactive Bladder Syndrome
Urinary disorders are often seen as having ‘caught something’ as a one off. However, recurrent infections or symptoms are often a sign that a causal pathogen has not really gone away. Antibiotics may stop the flare up of an infection, but often the pathogen can hide out in the urinary tubes and bladder. It may be through a lack of regular hydration or being generally run down that the pathogen is able to rear it’s ugly head once more and cause your symptoms to be noticeable. Once one infection gets a foothold, it becomes easier for further infections to evade the immune system and become problematic.
Typical causal pathogens: Gardnerella Vaginalis, Trichomonas Vaginalis, Urealytica Ureaplasma and Candida
Vulvodynia, vulva vestibulitis syndrome (VVS), vestibulodynia & clitorodynia
Pain and swelling conditions of the reproductive/urinary organs are the result of deeply entrenched infections. Several infections may be causing the inflammation of glands and this in turn over-sensitises the nerves in the pubic (and sometimes anal) region. Such conditions are hugely debilitating to their sufferers and often carry with them a label of being ‘untreatable’.
Typical causal pathogens: Gardnerella Vaginalis, Trichomonas Vaginalis and Candida.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Sexually transmitted diseases can cause a variety of symptoms, which can be painful and affect quality of life considerably. With particular STDs we can identify if it is present or not and treat it. Please contact me if you require more information about this.
Kidney Stones
Over time the deposits of minerals or chemicals, such as calcium or uric acid, can build up in the kidneys to form stones, leading to the need to pass them. Working with remedies or energy healing we can gradually break down existing stones prevent further build ups. Please note – large kidney stones that need to pass or be surgically removed should be assessed by a mainstream medical professional.
Typical causes: The Calculi Renales group of minerals and chemicals
